What you’ll be doing
You will be the person who oversees every step of the weekly payroll process. From validations and reconciliations through to reporting and employee support, you’ll run a payroll function that the business depends on for clarity, compliance and reliability.
Key responsibilities include:
- Processing accurate, timely end to end weekly payroll
- Validating timesheets, allowances, deductions, leave and approvals
- Interpreting EBAs, awards and industrial instruments
- Maintaining payroll master data, employee records and contract documentation
- Preparing payroll reports and payroll related reconciliations
- Managing payments to the ATO, super funds and other statutory bodies
- Supporting onboarding and ensuring new starter documentation is correct
- Responding to employee and manager payroll queries
- Keeping processes audit ready and contributing to improvements
What RFT is looking for
- At least 5 years end to end payroll experience
- Strong knowledge of EBAs, awards, legislation, taxation and superannuation
- Experience with weekly, high volume and multi award payrolls
- Confident with reconciliations and resolving discrepancies
- Strong Excel skills
- Experience with HR3 is helpful but not essential
- Accurate, reliable and deadline focussed
- Professional, approachable and comfortable working with staff at all levels
