About the role:
We are looking for full time, experienced MC Drivers to drive both our interstate and intrastate linehaul runs out of our Derrimut depot.
Many of these runs could or may include sleeping in the truck, AM&PM driving and all will include some weekend work on a rostered system. We ask that applicants please consider this before applying.
Key delivery lanes are:
- Melbourne – Sydney
- Melbourne – SA
- Melbourne – Albury/Wodonga
You will be required to load a range of trailing equipment that could include High-cube, Mezz, Rollbacks, Straight and Refrigerant trailers from various locations in each capital cities, intra & interstate locations. Linehaul/General Transport. Pick up from major customer vendor sites then deliver to major distribution centres.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Liaising with customers with a friendly and professional attitude
- Understanding of load restraint as per National Load Restraint Guidelines
- Completion of all paperwork on time and in full
- Driving in a time-sensitive environment
- Refueling and maintaining cleanliness of allocated equipment
- Promptly report any mechanical faults, delivery issues or delays
Your skills and experience
- MC licence minimum (experience is essential)
- Linehaul experience preferred but not essential
- Minimum of 12 months good driving record
