Ron Finemore Transport Wodonga is seeking an experienced and motivated Service Manager to lead our busy maintenance workshop and drive operational excellence across our fleet maintenance operations.
Leading a skilled team of Mechanics, Welders, Fabricators and Apprentices, you will oversee the maintenance and repair of a modern heavy vehicle fleet while ensuring safety, compliance, reliability and workshop efficiency targets are achieved.
We are looking for a proactive leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to safety, reliability and operational excellence.
Some occasional travel may be required, with all travel costs covered by RFT.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure fleet maintenance and repairs are completed safely and efficiently
- Maintain compliance with NHVR, WHS and company requirements
- Drive workshop productivity, reliability and housekeeping standards
- Liaise with operations teams, suppliers and contractors
- Promote a strong safety-first culture
Skills & Experience
- Previous fleet or dealership experience in a leadership or management role
- Strong understanding of NHVR rules and regulations
- Excellent leadership and people management skills
- Strong organisational and time management abilities
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Sound computer and administrative skills
- High attention to detail
- Trade qualification in heavy vehicle mechanical field (preferred)
- Heavy vehicle licence advantageous
