Ron Finemore has long been a pioneer in road health and safety, and throughout his 50 year career, has worked tirelessly to improve road safety and advocate for adequate training for drivers.
Currently, Ron is the chairman of the NSW Road Freight Advisory Council, and is an active member of the NSW Road Safety Council. It is no surprise then that RFT is dedicated to continuously refining and innovating health and safety standards on the road and in the workshop. Through best-practice work processes and safety systems, training, fatigue management, accident prevention and effective lines of communication, RFT leads the road transport industry when it comes to safety.
In particular, the RFT Telematics, an advanced safety systems installed in all RFT equipment produces reports and data on individual drivers, giving managers a real time tool to monitor and improve driver behaviour, thus improving road safety.
In 2014, RFT won two industry achievement awards for technical and maintenance excellence from the Australian Trucking Association, and our systems comply with:
- National Heavy Vehicle Accreditation Scheme
- Retail Logistics Supply Chain Code of Conduct
- Driver Fatigue Management Program
- Australian Institute of Petroleum Safe Load Pass Program
- HACCP Food Safety Program
- Customer Quality Assurance Programs
RFT is committed to the safety and care of our people, and take a great deal of pride in ensuring a safe and healthy work environment.
We maintain and present our facilities and vehicles to the highest standard and in recognisable fleet colours, to ensure they are highly visible to other road users and the community.
