Based at our state-of-the-art facility in Orange, NSW, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing driver performance and safety standards, supporting a team of over 100 drivers across the Central West region of NSW.

Your skills and experience for this role need to include:

  • Strong industry knowledge of WHS and COR (BFM/AFM) legislation.
  • Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (or willingness to obtain).
  • Minimum HC heavy vehicle licence, with MC driving experience preferred.
  • Proven experience in temperature-controlled (TC) work.
  • A clean driving record and commitment to safety.
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with drivers to achieve business outcomes.
  • Proficient in using technology to support training and operational needs.
  • Self-motivated, forward-thinking, and eager to embrace challenges.
  • Capable of contributing to the improvement of systems and the working environment.

About the Role 

In this role, you’ll focus on driver training, performance reviews, and recruiting new drivers. You’ll be part of a top-notch training team, using modern European prime movers and trailers with an average age of just over two years. Your job is to train and support our drivers, making sure they follow our values of safetyprofessionalism, and great customer service, helping Ron Finemore Transport stay successful.

Your responsibilities would include:

  • Train, audit, and review driver skill levels to ensure their top performance.
  • Provide comprehensive safety training for drivers, focusing on procedures and compliance.
  • Maintain and update driver training and assessment records.
  • Monitor adherence to driver safety and regulatory standards.
  • Conduct driver recruitment interviews and assessments.
  • Perform company inductions for new drivers.
  • Ensure all truck permits are up-to-date and compliant.
  • Perform driving runs in peak periods to assist the team.
  • Ensure all activities are carried out safely, accurately, and in line with legislative, company, and customer requirements.
  • Attend Customer sites in both Sydney and Central NSW regularly

This is a permanent, full-time role reporting to the Driver Training Lead, and is based at our client’s site at Orange, NSW.
