Join one of Australia’s leading transport operators and work with a modern fleet in a supportive, safety-focused workshop environment.
This is a permanent full-time position is based at our Wodonga Site Maintenance Facility in Northeast Victoria.
As a welder /Fabricator with Ron Finemore Transport you will join our professional fleet and maintenance team responsible for maintaining and repairing our modern heavy vehicle fleet and trailer equipment.
Relocation Support or a sign on bonus will be provided for the right applicant. (T&Cs Apply)
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain welding equipment.
- Understand plans and drawings to determine the specific welding requirements.
- Fabricating and repairing metal components and structures.
- Produce clear and concise digital repair order reports, detailing all work carried out and recommendations in a prioritised order.
- Provide support and mentor apprentice technicians.
- Maintain safe work practices and high quality workmanship
About You:

- Certificate 3, Trade certificate/qualification or equivalent
- Experience in the Heavy Vehicle industry
- Experience maintaining heavy trailer equipment.
- Ability to work unsupervised and as part of a supportive team.
- Current HC/HR driver’s license an advantage.
- Pride in your work with an ability to work to targets and high standards.
- High levels of motivation, dependable with a can-do, positive attitude
- Effective communication skills with a commitment to workplace safety
